Oklahoma City has opened two major infrastructure projects aimed at improving connectivity and transportation. The MAPS 4 pedestrian bridge spans 614 feet across the Oklahoma River, linking the Greenway River Trail at Eastern Avenue to the Horizons District. At the same time, the EMBARK First Americans Museum Landing has reached substantial completion and will support a planned ferry service, according to Oklahoma City government website.

Both projects cost $6.7 million each and are funded through a mix of Federal Transit Administration grants, city funds, and contributions from the Chickasaw Nation. The ferry landing is expected to begin operations in spring 2026, with EMBARK and HMS Ferries conducting service testing beforehand.

Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt told okc.gov that the projects aim to strengthen connections between major destinations such as the First Americans Museum, the OKANA Resort & Waterpark, and RIVERSPORT on the Oklahoma River. Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby stated that the two projects provide a direct link between the First Americans Museum, OKANA, and downtown Oklahoma City.
