
Following a violent altercation at Del Sol Park in Oxnard, authorities have identified the parties involved in the fatal shooting that left one dead and two injured. On the evening of September 5, a 9-1-1 call was made reporting the incident, with Oxnard Police responding swiftly to the scene. The decedent was identified as 62-year-old Octavio Rocha, while the injured parties have been named as Vicente Menchaca, 31, and Jesus Menchaca, 36, both Oxnard residents, as reported by the Oxnard Police Department.
Upon their arrival at the 1500 Block of Camino Del Sol, officers found three individuals with gunshot wounds and promptly administered emergency medical aid. Despite these efforts, Rocha's injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Vicente has remained hospitalized in stable condition, and Jesus was treated and subsequently released. According to a statement made by the Oxnard Police Department's Facebook page, detectives recovered two firearms from the crime scene and have indicated that no outstanding suspects are currently being sought in relation to this event, although the case has not been closed as the investigation continues.
