Last week, participants of the Citizen's Academy in Ozaukee County received a hands-on experience that extended beyond the classroom, engaging with the Emergency Management Division of the Sheriff’s Office in a rather unconventional setting. According to a post on the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, attendees were treated to a boat ride on Lake Michigan, where they could observe local law enforcement in action and gain insights into the crucial tasks performed by the team.
While some attendees were making ripples on Lake Michigan, the technology on land drew considerable attention as well. Lieutenant Airaudi took the helm, when it came to showcasing the advanced tech at the Sheriff's Office disposal, namely their drone operations. "Lieutenant Airaudi provided a demonstration of the Sheriff’s Office drones and explained their vital role in investigations, negotiations, and locating missing individuals," the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office's post detailed.
