Heads up, commuters and Peachland regulars—we've got some construction on the horizon that's going to squeeze your drive times. From Sept. 9 to Sept. 23, Peachland Boulevard is getting a bit of a facelift, well, if by facelift you mean the less glamorous, but very necessary installation of some underground power courtesy of Irby Construction. Our source, the Charlotte County Public Works Department, just rolled out an advisory that's slated to run between Hinton Street and Atwater Street, so expect intermittent lane closures from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during that window.
The Public Works Department reminds drivers to stay alert and be cautious near construction zones. In Peachland, it’s a good reminder to watch the road and slow down when needed. More details are available on the Charlotte County website.
