A tragic scene unfolded in Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood this morning as a woman lost her life in a traffic collision. The incident occurred at a busy intersection and resulted in the death of a pedestrian after being hit by a box truck. According to a report by the Seattle Police Department, the accident happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. at the crossing of Beacon Avenue South and South Portland Street.
Seattle Fire Department medics responded promptly but were unable to save the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
