A man from Perris, California, has been arrested on multiple charges, including lewd acts with a minor and sexual battery, officials said. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Jacob Paulsen, was taken into custody after deputies from the Southwest Sheriff's Station responded to a sexual assault report involving a juvenile in Temecula.
The arrest came on September 19, 2025, following a string of alleged incidents. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, an adult victim was also assaulted by Paulsen during a separate incident on the same day, at a business located in the 20000 block of Ynez Road. Paulsen, who was reportedly an active sex registrant and on parole for sexual assault, was quickly apprehended by authorities.
In a statement obtained by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, Paulsen has been booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on several charges, including lewd acts with a minor, sexual battery, indecent exposure, and violation of parole. A bail enhancement was also obtained, setting Paulsen's bail at $500,000. Given the circumstances, law enforcement believes that there may be more victims who have yet to come forward.
