The Chatham Community Library will host a cultural event featuring the PlayMakers Repertory Company’s touring production of King James. The performance, which focuses on themes of friendship, basketball, and community, will take place on Thursday, October 2, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the library’s Holmes Family Meeting Room. Admission is free and open to the public.
King James, directed by Patrick Torres, is described as "fast, funny, and heartfelt." The play covers the world of basketball but also addresses themes of camaraderie, life's challenges, and the connections that help people through various seasons. The event is intended for residents of Pittsboro, including both basketball fans and those interested in storytelling, according to Chatham County.
