St. Louis Police are on the lookout for two women suspected of a brazen daytime robbery at Tower Grove East, which took a particularly threatening turn. District 3 Detectives are asking the public's assistance in identifying the individuals, as well as locating the vehicle used during the incident. The robbery took place on September 22, just before 12:30 p.m., when the two suspects reportedly stole food items from Ruler Foods on the 2700 block of S. Grand Blvd., according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. An employee faced with the courage to confront the pair outside the establishment was met with the threat of violence as one suspect brandished a hatchet.
As mentioned in the police statement, one suspect is described as a white female, approximately 30-35 years old, standing around 5’05” tall, weighing about 250 lbs., and with blonde hair adorned with tattoos on her left chest, bicep, and both hands. She is notable for the silver hatchet she carried, equipped with a black handle, and she should be considered armed and dangerous. Their getaway vehicle was identified as a dark blue Dodge Ram 3500, sporting a Missouri license plate numbered 94H-1KS.
Her accomplice, also a white female in the age range of 30-35, is a bit shorter at around 5’04”-5’05,” and weighs between 180-200 lbs., with brown hair. The images released by the authorities not only capture the striking features of the suspects but also give view to the muscular stature, and inherent threat that these individuals pose, having stooped to intimidation with a deadly weapon in broad daylight. In the fabric of our urban life, where the anonymous blend unremarkably into bustling crowds, these women used their anonymity as a weapon just as much as the silver hatchet.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects or the vehicle is urged to contact the authorities promptly. A clarion call goes out to our community, one that stands shoulder to shoulder against the contempt for the everyday peace we uphold.
