Deputy Knoles of the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office completed Search and Rescue Training this past weekend. The training was facilitated by Pottawatomie County Emergency Management to improve local response capabilities during emergencies.

According to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, the new skills gained through the training are intended to strengthen the agency’s ability to respond during crises. The post also thanked Pottawatomie County Emergency Management for including the Sheriff’s Office in the training and recognized Deputy Knoles for participating.

This training is part of the county’s effort to increase in-house expertise for search and rescue operations, which have traditionally relied on outside agencies.
