The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), in coordination with the Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD), ended a police pursuit early Thursday morning last week. The incident began when a deputy attempted to stop a driver traveling 103 mph on State Route 89A.

As per the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office website, the driver, identified as 37-year-old Luis Perez, slowed down and appeared to record the pursuit on social media. Deputies maintained visual tracking and eventually intercepted his vehicle safely.

Perez was arrested without further incident and faces charges including unlawful means of transportation, aggravated DUI, DUI, and possession of an open container.
