With the skies remaining cloudy, the temperature high is expected to hover near 66 degrees, accompanied by a bracing north wind blowing at 10 to 13 mph, gusting up to 25 mph. Forecasters predict new rainfall amounts to range between a quarter and half of an inch.
Into the night, the likelihood of rain persists, particularly before 7 pm, before yielding to mostly cloudy conditions with a low settling around 61 degrees. These nightly gusts, clamoring as high as 20 mph, is another round of north wind pegged at 8 to 11 mph. The chance of precipitation slightly diminishes to 60%, with new precipitation amounts projected to be less than a tenth of an inch.
Looking forward to Wednesday, there remains a slight chance of showers before the afternoon clears up. The clouds will stick around though, with the high inching slightly warmer to approximately 72 degrees, and the northwest wind blowing softly at around 8 mph, giving a mere 20% chance of precipitation.
The weather is set to take a turn for the better starting Wednesday night, as partly cloudy skies grace the evening, and the low temperature dips slightly to about 61 degrees under a calming wind. Come Thursday, the sun will stake its claim in the sky, with a high soaring near 82 degrees thanks to a gentle northwest breeze.
In the days to follow, Raleigh can expect a series of sunny days and clear nights, with Friday's temperature peaking at a warm 86 degrees, and only slightly cooler lows in the mid-60s. The weekend promises more of the same with sunny skies, as temperatures will oscillate between highs in the mid-80s and partly cloudy nights with lows in the low 60s. Into early next week, the pattern persists with mostly sunny conditions projected and highs in the low 80s.
