Raleigh just wrapped up its annual focus on the state's transportation pulse with the 2025 North Carolina Transportation Summit. The confab, which spanned a full week and was brought together by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, NC GO! and NC Chamber, aimed to critically peek into the future of how we shuttle ourselves and our goods across the fringes and heart of the Tar Heel State.
The event took off with some big names on the dais. Governor Josh Stein, US Deputy Secretary of Transportation Steven Bradbury, alongside a bevy of local and industry mavens, came together to ruminate on paths forward in infrastructure and mobility. Notably, a non-profit tirelessly laboring in service of Hurricane Helene victims also took the spotlight for their dedicated efforts towards recovery.
For those who missed the in-person sessions—or just want to comprehensively rehash the insights and discussions that unfolded—the NCDOT has got the content hookup. They're making videos of most summit sessions readily available on their website for public consumption. Interested parties can head over to ncdot.gov/Summit to watch and maybe even envision themselves in the midst of the transportation dialogues.
This summit, the sixth of its kind to date, promises to catalytically forge new pathways and also to respire fresh life into ongoing transportation dialogues, continuing to tackle the vigorous demands that a modern North Carolina expects.
