Attention all nature buffs and sunset chasers: Forest Ridge Park is setting the stage for an idyllic evening hike, tailored for those who find solace in the great outdoors as the day winds down. According to the official announcement from the City of Raleigh, this guided trek will take you along the park's northern shoreline, offering panoramic lake views and the chance to watch the sun dip below the horizon in a blaze of autumnal glory.
Forest Ridge Park will host a guided sunset hike on October 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is open to participants ages 14 and older. Attendees are advised to bring a headlamp or flashlight, though extra headlamps and trekking poles will be available from the park.
The cost to join is $6 per person. Additional equipment such as trekking poles and binoculars can also be borrowed if needed.
