This update means that plans will be reviewed under a simplified process. However, developers will need to stay diligent—plans must now include the Raleigh and Merger Town Infrastructure Inspection Quantities tables, and all public and private water and sewer mains must be clearly labeled. These small steps aim to ensure that inspections and plan overviews can be done with greater efficiency and less back-and-forth.
The permit number system is also seeing an overhaul. New projects will be filed under a standardized permit number format: INFRA-xxxxxx-20xx for Raleigh projects, and PUINF-xxxxxx-20xx for Merger Town. "You must have a signed set of the plans available on site," reminds the City of Raleigh's official announcement, signifying that on-site documentation remains a crucial part of the compliance process.
