The City of Rock Hill Public Works Department is proceeding with a project to realign flood hazard information for areas between I-77 and Dave Lyle Boulevard in compliance with regulation 65.7(b)(1) of the National Flood Insurance Program. According to the City of Rock Hill, the update is part of a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR), Case No. 25-04-2994R, related to planned improvements along Manchester Creek Tributary 1.

The Manchester Creek Tributary 1 Improvements project includes regrading and soil removal within the floodplain to reduce flood risk. The project will adjust existing flood hazards by widening and narrowing the floodway, increasing Base Flood Elevations, and expanding the Special Flood Hazard Area around Manchester Creek Tributary 1.

These changes will affect property owners, insurance rates, and future development in the impacted areas. After completion, the city plans to request a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) to finalize updates to the flood hazard maps.

For more information, residents can contact David Dickson at 803-329-7096, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The original announcement is available on the City of Rock Hill’s official website.
