Police officers in Sacramento had their hands full earlier this month when they responded to a call regarding a possible shooting on the 2100 block of Dale Avenue. According to a post on the Sacramento Police Department's official Facebook page, while the officers did not find evidence of a shooting, their investigation did not conclude without incident.
During their patrol, officers encountered an individual who was on probation and known to have a history with firearms. The individual, identified as 20-year-old Anthony Aguirre of Sacramento, was under scrutiny which led the police to uncover a stolen firearm along with a drum and an extended magazine. Aguirre was subsequently arrested on multiple felony related charges.
The arrest appears to highlight the Sacramento Police Department's ongoing efforts to quickly and efficiently address potential threats in the community and to take illegal weapons off the streets. They reaffirmed their commitment to remove illegal weapons from our streets and hold accountable those who threaten the safety of our communities.
