In a routine vehicle stop that rapidly escalated into a larger investigation, Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies made an arrest of convicted felon Joshua Lindstrom for the possession of an arsenal. The deputies, part of the Sheriff’s North Patrol alongside the North Division High Impact Policing (HIP) Team, switched from traffic controllers to sleuths as they uncovered more than just a misdemeanor on the roadside. This information was detailed in a recent social media post by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation soon shifted to locations under Lindstrom's control after a search warrant was obtained, which promptly led to the discovery and seizure of five handguns, two rifles, an unspecified amount of ammunition, and $4,000 in cash hidden in a storage unit.
Following the findings, Lindstrom was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where his mugshot will remain unseen by the public. In line with California law, the Sheriff's Office articulated that the charges, falling under the "non-violent" category, prevent the release of booking photos.
