A routine evening turned harrowing for residents on San Antonio's West Side when a garage fire sent two people to the hospital. The blaze erupted near Figaro Canyon and N Elison Drive around 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, according to FOX San Antonio. The San Antonio Fire Department swiftly responded to the scene, confining the fire to the garage area before completely extinguishing it.
While the inferno blazed, reports of an explosion before the fire were made, as noted by KSAT. Arriving after hearing these reports, firefighters found the garage fully engulfed by the time they arrived. Despite the fire's wrath, the injuries sustained by the two individuals were reportedly not related to the fire itself. This peculiar detail raises questions about the circumstances that led to their hospitalization.
Two of the four people living at the property were home during the fire. Both were taken to the hospital, but their injuries haven’t been disclosed. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
