The San Francisco Fire Department reported a water rescue that unfolded in McCovey Cove yesterday. According to a social media post from the San Francisco Fire Department, three adults were saved from an unplanned dip in the bay after they fell off a vessel. Deviating from the typical city narrative of professional rescue operations, it was private individuals in kayaks and, notably, a boat emblazoned with a Ghostbusters logo that came to the rescue.

After falling from the vessel, the individuals were in the water waiting for rescue, and they must have experienced pure astonishment as their saviors appeared, not as the expected Coast Guard or police boats, but as private citizens propelling themselves through the current on a mission to help. The San Francisco Fire Department's EMS staff evaluated the trio of adults plucked from the cove's chill and reported that they were in good condition.
Once the situation stabilized, with all parties accounted for and no injuries reported, the fire department quickly cleared the scene.
