The Santa Ana Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in locating a suspect involved in the violent assault of a food truck worker on August 9, near Washington Avenue and Santiago Street, as detailed in a recent Facebook post. The incident, which took place around 6 p.m., was captured on video and depicts a woman who suddenly began attacking the vendor as she walked on the street.
Authorities have described the suspect, a Hispanic female aged between 35 and 45, donning a red oversized T-shirt and black socks, without shoes, during the assault. The victim, who remains unnamed out of concern for her safety, stated in an interview obtained by NBC Los Angeles that she was hit multiple times and left with bruises. The vendor is now apprehensive about her safety while walking to work following the incident.
