A swift response by the City of Santa Rosa Fire Department was critical in addressing a vegetation and residential structure fire yesterday, as flames spread rapidly through the Santa Rosa Vista Trailer Park.
The fire, first reported at 4:05 p.m., according to a department Facebook post by the department, mobilized a significant emergency response, including 10 engines, 2 squads, 1 ladder truck, and additional fire resources after an immediate upgrade of the incident.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters discovered a fast-moving fire that originated in roadside vegetation along Highway 101. The fire had encroached upon residential spaces, eventually destroying four homes and damaging the fence line between the highway and the trailer park.
