According to a press release by the MPD, the incident occurred on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, when officers, swiftly responding to a shooting report on the 300 block of Anacostia Road, Southeast, found Mohdjiom unconscious and battling for life at approximately 12:25 a.m. Despite the efforts to quickly transport and to save him at a local hospital, all life-preserving attempts fell short, leaving the community to mourn another instance of gun violence cutting short a promising existence.
