As Halloween festivities begin to wind down, Spirit Halloween is shifting its focus towards the yuletide cheer with an expansion of its "Spirit Christmas" stores. The company has announced the opening of 30 new locations across the Northeast and Great Lakes regions, as reported by WWJ Newsradio and confirmed by WXYZ. This move signifies a nearly fourfold increase from their inaugural season last year and reflects a growing consumer demand for festive, holiday-themed retail experiences.
Michigan residents can look forward to two of these stores, with locations in Novi's West Oaks Shopping Center next to Kohl's and inside a former JoAnn Fabrics store at The Shops at Centerpoint in Grand Rapids. As per WWJ Newsradio, Steven Silverstein, CEO of Spirit Christmas, expressed, "At Spirit, we believe the magic of the season does not end with Halloween—it transforms. Back by popular demand and with even more locations, Spirit Christmas is an extension of our sensory-rich, interactive holiday experiences." These outlets are expected to open in early November, as Halloween transforms into a new festive season.
According to a ClickOnDetroit report, Spirit Christmas will offer more than just typical holiday shopping. The stores will feature a Peppermint Village, complete with festive decorations, apparel, gifts, and interactive displays. For families looking to capture the seasonal spirit, some locations, including the new Michigan stores, will also offer Santa photo opportunities.
