The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office is inviting residents to take part in the annual 'Night Out Against Crime' on October 7. The event is designed to promote neighborhood unity and strengthen ties between citizens and law enforcement.
Sheriff James Pohlmann and deputies will visit local gatherings to share safety tips and connect with residents in a relaxed setting. The Sheriff’s Office is encouraging neighborhoods to host parties as a visible show of support against crime and will assist with registration.
Residents interested in hosting can contact Lt. Eric Eilers at (504) 278-7628. According to The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, events like this help open lines of communication, encourage neighborhood watch programs, and build trust between the community and police.
