According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, at around 12:45 p.m. on the 1000 block of Washington Avenue, the suspect made away with the victim's briefcase, which was snatched right off his lap. Although the briefcase was later found in a nearby location, it was damaged. The department released a description of the suspect: a black male of medium build, dressed in a black hat with red lettering, a black hair cap, a Cardinal's jersey, grey sweatpants, and light-colored shoes. 

The SLMPD is urging anyone with information about the incident or the unidentified suspect to come forward. They emphasize that tips can provide crucial leads that may assist in the apprehension and the eventual prosecution of the suspect.
