As the sun begins to dip on the horizon this Saturday, 370 Lakeside Park is the place to be for an evening of groovy tunes and smooth melodies. Hosting the grand finale of the Sunset Saturday series, this year's closing bash offers not one, but two free concerts set against a scenic lakeside backdrop. The festivities kick off at 4 p.m., though gates open an hour earlier. According to the city's official announcement, the Funky Butt Brass Band and Vote for Pedro are slated to deliver performances that span genres and get feet moving.
The Funky Butt Brass Band draws inspiration from the rich New Orleans Brass Band heritage, infusing it with flavors from across America — from Minneapolis Funk to St. Louis R&B. Following that, Vote for Pedro will take the stage for their Sunset Concert debut, promising a high-energy set list that covers classics to current chart-toppers. With a mix of food trucks on-site, including Juan Taco Dragon’s Den Café, SNS Goodies, Antojitos de Guatemala, and Kona offering diverse culinary delights, the evening promises, to not just satisfy musical appetites but gastronomic ones too.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to snag a parking spot inside the park, as the lots are limited and will be closed once they reach capacity. For those who secure a spot within the park's confines, a shuttle bus service to the Corporate Pavilion will be available. Attendees who choose to bring their own refreshments are reminded that outside alcohol is restricted to the lawn area only, and no glass containers or pets are allowed. For those looking to lounge comfortably throughout the concert, bringing a lawn chair is recommended, since seating under the pavilion is limited and historically, fills up quickly.
