The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library (FFAPL) is gearing up for their much-anticipated annual Fall Book Sale. Slated to run from Oct. 7 through Oct. 10 at First United Methodist Church in Downtown Arlington, the sale is set to feature a rich assortment of 36 categories of books, DVDs, puzzles, and more.
Maintaining its reputation for affordability, most items at the sale are pegged at just $1. Whether you're in search of the latest bestsellers or classic titles, the event promises a treasure trove for book lovers on a budget. Payment methods include cash, checks, and credit cards, although there's a $5 minimum for card transactions. As reported by the City of Arlington, "With most items priced at just $1, you can stock up on your favorite genres without breaking the bank."
The sale has something for everyone – kicking off with an exclusive preview for FFAPL members on Oct. 7. Those who aren't yet members have the chance to join at the door and get early access to the selection. Following the members-only day, the event opens up to the public for three consecutive days.
Make sure to circle Oct. 10 on your calendar, as it heralds the half-price day where you can snag even better deals. That same afternoon, the sale extends a special invitation to teachers and nonprofits from 4:15 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering a bag of books for a $5 suggested donation, ID required. However, book donations will not be accepted during the event, but monetary contributions to support the library are welcome at the cashier.
