After nearly five years on the run, a suspect linked to a deadly 2020 home invasion in Mt. Oliver was arrested in Georgia. David Barlow, 28, faced law enforcement officials this morning, far from the site of the crime. WPXI reported that on the night of December 23, 2020, two individuals masked as anonymity itself, forcibly entered a residence on Anthony Street, which shortly thereafter became the stage of tragic violence.
The intervention of Damon Lincoln, a 24-year-old trying to defend his mother, ended fatally when he was shot in the back. In the intricate dance of evidence and time, detectives meticulously pieced together clues left at the scene and, in recent months, gathered additional evidence pointing to Barlow as the shooter. According to a WTAE report, authorities combined forces with the U.S. marshals and the Butts County Sheriff's Office to secure Barlow's arrest.
Barlow is now facing weighty charges, including criminal homicide, robbery, burglary, and recklessly endangering another person.
