The Metropolitan Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred on August 15 near the 3000 block of Nelson Place in Southeast Washington. The suspect, 24-year-old Gino Jacquesz Williams of Northeast, faces multiple charges, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Police said Williams and another suspect confronted a victim, took a pickaxe from his truck, threatened him, and stole his belongings before leaving in a black SUV. Officers found the vehicle on September 21 and arrested Williams, charging him with robbery, theft from motor vehicle, unlawful use of a vehicle, receiving stolen property, and leaving after colliding. Investigators also connected him to a September 20 incident on the 4200 block of Foote Street, Northeast, where he allegedly threatened a van owner and stole items, resulting in additional charges of theft from motor vehicle and threats to do bodily harm, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.

Authorities are looking for another person of interest in the August 15 robbery. Surveillance images and video have been released, and the Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
