Orlando International Airport became the scene of a significant arrest yesterday when a traveler, wanted on a homicide charge, was apprehended. According to a release by ClickOrlando, the arrest came about thanks to the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officers' vigilance. They identified the traveler as a match for an active arrest warrant, issued for a charge of homicide/murder with a firearm by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Citing Carlos Martel, the CBP Director of Operations, details of the arrest were shared. "The individual was immediately turned over to (the sheriff’s office) to face prosecution for these charges," Martel wrote, as detailed by ClickOrlando.
Further information reported by Orlando-News is that the case remains scarce. In a post on social media, Carlos C. Martel of CBP stated that the officers nabbed the suspect after confirming a match for an active warrant.
