In a recent development concerning a mid-summer scare, a suspect involved in the armed robbery of a Circle K convenience store in Lyons, Colorado, has been apprehended. Jaden Lee Robinson, 21, turned himself over to authorities at the Boulder County Jail on Monday, with representation by his lawyer. This follows the July 18 incident, where it was reported by Boulder County officials that an armed male commandeered cash from a local convenience store without causing physical harm to bystanders.
Boulder County's detailed press release explained that Robinson was pegged as a suspect after law enforcement coordination regarding a related incident occurring within a neighboring jurisdiction. A series of search and seizure operations bolstered the link between Robinson and the crime in question, leading up to the charges he's currently facing. The accused stands to answer for counts of aggravated robbery, menacing with a firearm, and theft ranging from $300 to $1,000.
It's a collaborative effort that caught up with the young man whose attire at the time of the robbery included a black and white hoodie emblazoned with angel wings and a face obscured by a blue bandana. The investigation drew on resources from multiple agencies, including the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder Police Department, Lakewood Police Department, and the Wheatridge Police Department. Although an initial release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office called for public assistance after an unsuccessful canine and drone search, the extent to which community tips facilitated the investigation remains undisclosed.
