On Monday afternoon, a stolen Hyundai Sonata hit a school bus from Aldine ISD at the 8500 block of FM 1960 Bypass Road West, near Kenswick Drive. The driver of the Sonata ran from the scene. No students or the bus driver were seriously injured, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Harris County Constable Precinct 4’s Facebook page states that Corporal Montoya tracked the suspect vehicle to Jesse Jones Park after the hit-and-run. The stolen vehicle was identified, and the suspect, Anderson Prete-Silva, was caught after trying to flee on foot.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, "Anderson Prete-Silva was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Stop and Give Information," and now awaits bond proceedings from the 337th District Court.
