
This morning, an incident in Tacoma, unincorporated Pierce County, resulted in one man losing his life, sparking an ongoing homicide investigation. According to a social media post by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office, the homeowner reported to 911 that he shot an intruder at approximately 1:45 AM. When authorities arrived, they found the alleged intruder deceased on the back porch of the residence.
The location of the incident has become a hub for forensic teams and detectives who are meticulously combing through the scene, piecing together the evening's events. The Sheriff's Office has set up a designated area for media and the Public Information Officer (PIO) at the intersections of 160th St. Ct. E and 13th Ave. Ct. E. The PIO is expected to provide updates as the investigation progresses.
