
Angela Antonic, 42, an employee of the Tampa Police Department, has been suspended after being arrested for allegedly falsifying official records and unauthorized computer access. According to the News Tampa Police on Tampa government website, Antonic is accused of creating fraudulent law enforcement credentials for a family member.
Antonic, a Latent Print Assistant with the department since 2017, allegedly issued the false credentials to assist a relative in securing new employment after that relative resigned from the department. The falsified documents have been recovered and that an internal review found no similar past misconduct on Antonic’s part.
She is facing charges of Official Misconduct Falsify Records and Access Computer or Electronic Device Without Authority. Antonic has been suspended while the department conducts an internal disciplinary process. Further details about the case are expected as the investigation continues.
