This sentence comes after a jury found him guilty, an outcome that the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office has publicly lauded. Gratitude was expressed towards both the White Settlement Police Department and the Fort Worth Police Department for their work on the case, highlighting a collaborative effort to secure the community's safety.
According to a social media post by the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office, the incident that led to Pasillas' conviction took place on March 14, 2023. He was accused of striking a family member in the mouth during an altercation outside of a gas station. During the trial, the court was presented with evidence of Pasillas' history as a habitual offender with previous convictions, including injury to a child and failure to stop and render aid.
The Tarrant County District Attorney's Office has put forth Assistant District Attorneys Alec Trono and Kimberly Barragon as the agents responsible for the prosecution, with Investigator Josh Neiswender and Victim Coordinator Imelda Lopez also recognized for their contributions to the case.
