A Taylor man faces serious charges after an alleged assault and unlawful imprisonment of his girlfriend. According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, 48-year-old Bradly Carl Dickens has been charged with multiple felonies, including Unlawful Imprisonment, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Domestic Violence, and other firearm-related violations.

The incident in question took place on August 30, when Taylor police responded to a call at Beech Daly Road and Leroy Street. They found a 62-year-old woman, now known to be the girlfriend of Dickens, injured and on the ground. Medics transported her to a local hospital for treatment of head trauma. It is alleged that before this discovery, Dickens assaulted the victim at her residence on Kerstyn Street before forcing her into his vehicle.

Once inside the vehicle, Dickens reportedly struck the woman with a handgun and fired the weapon several times while inside the car. The victim eventually exited the car, and Dickens fled the area. The Taylor Police Department's investigation resulted in Dickens' arrest on Tuesday.

Dickens was arraigned with a $200,000 cash bond and several conditions, including no contact with the victim. His preliminary examination is scheduled for October 15.
