The San Diego Police Department has announced the arrest of a third suspect in a double homicide that left two men dead inside separate campers in the Nestor neighborhood. As reported by the City of San Diego's official website, the police received calls about gunfire on August 30, around 3:25 AM, near 2002 Sunset Avenue. The victims, Aaron Cruz, 42, and Richard Hartung, 64, resided in the campers where they were found following the shooting.
A red Chevy Suburban was identified as a possible suspect vehicle using city-owned and private security cameras. This development led to the arrest of 24-year-old David Verduzco Kruglova earlier this month after a traffic stop in the area of 130 West Calle Primera, according to details provided by Hoodline. A subsequent arrest involved a 16-year-old male juvenile from Tijuana, Mexico, whose name remains undisclosed due to his age, and now, the third suspect has been apprehended, identified as 22-year-old Marco Ramirez from Los Angeles, residing in Tijuana at the time of the incident.
The police's investigation has also reportedly led to the recovery of two assault rifles believed to be used in the shooting, details of which are still emerging as the case progresses. The San Diego Police Department urges anyone with further information to contact the Homicide Unit or Crime Stoppers at (619) 531-2293 and (888) 580-8477.
