The sequence of events, as affirmed by Canton Township Police, began when a Mini Cooper Countryman, driven by a 36-year-old Ypsilanti man, deviated into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound motorcycle. The motorcycle's rider, a 52-year-old Monroe resident, subsequently collided with a Nissan Maxima, also traveling east. According to FOX 2 Detroit, the victims of the crash were transported to area hospitals, and though the full extent of their injuries is not known, they have been described as substantial.
