Following a nearly four-month meticulous investigation, detectives came to believe that the robbery was not an act of chance but a targeted one. The suspects had purportedly followed closely to track the victims across several cities before executing the crime. On Wednesday, a collaboration between the Fullerton Police and the ATF Orange County Violent Crimes Task Force led to the service of multiple search warrants and subsequent arrests, according to CBS News.
The three suspects, identified as 21-year-old Donald Jones of Los Angeles, 20-year-old George Barragan of Whittier, and 19-year-old Gavin Stafford of Compton, were booked following the recovery of evidence related to the robbery and items taken from the victims. This arrest information and the ongoing call for more details from the public were further confirmed by the Fullerton Police Department's press release.
Law enforcement is asking anyone with information about the robbery to come forward. Detective D. Cazares can be contacted directly, while anonymous tips may be submitted through Orange County Crime Stoppers, as noted in the Fullerton Police Department’s press release. The case is now with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for possible prosecution.
