
A somber air envelopes Peoria after a heartbreaking off-road collision that occurred on Sunday, September 28, which claimed the life of a 14-year-old and left others injured; the crash happened around 3 p.m. near the confluence of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Old Carefree Highway, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
The incident unfolded when two adult-operated motorcycles, each carrying a juvenile passenger, were navigating westbound on Old Carefree Highway—one vehicle reportedly slowed near a bend leading to a rear-end collision that resulted in all four riders being ejected from the motorcycles, the Peoria Police has not suspected impairment in this tragic event and the second juvenile passenger along with both drivers were hospitalized for their minor injuries while an investigation into the crash is ongoing as reported by ABC15.
Tragically, the 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, stirring a wave of grief among the local community. Meanwhile, the identity of the teen has not been released by authorities.
