According to a report by News 3 Las Vegas, the victim was using a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a 2003 GMC Yukon. The driver, who remained at the scene, reportedly showed no signs of impairment but failed to yield the right of way, leading to the devastating collision. The victim was urgently transported to a local hospital in critical condition; however, their injuries were too severe, and they were later pronounced deceased.
The aftermath of the incident led to a significant closure on Valley View Boulevard, which extended from Cactus to Bella Palermo Way.
