
Four people, including two children, were thrown from a boat after it exploded on Sunday afternoon in Belvedere Bay, Harrison Township. The Macomb County Sheriff's Office responded to a call around 3:45 p.m. after the boat, which was anchored, caught fire and exploded, as reported by CBS News Detroit.
A boat carrying the owner, another adult, and two children caught fire and then exploded as they were preparing to leave. All four people were thrown into the water. A nearby boater helped them onto their boat and took them to shore, as detailed by ClickOnDetroit.
Four people were rescued and treated by the Harrison Township Fire Department, with three taken to a hospital in stable condition, as per WXYZ. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division put out the boat fire and towed the vessel for investigation. Officials found no signs of foul play.
