Early Friday morning, an accident involving a motorcycle and a truck led to the deaths of two individuals on FM 1960 in Harris County, per reports from local authorities. According to Click2Houston, the crash occurred in the westbound lanes near Pine Echo Drive. The Harris County Sheriff's Office took over the case following initial reports from the Atascocita Fire Department.
Both victims, a man who died at the scene, and a woman who later succumbed to her injuries at a hospital, remain unidentified till the authorities release further information. Following the incident, traffic was rerouted to accommodate the ongoing investigation, with detours directing vehicles to alternate routes including Atascocita Shore and Pinehurst Trail Drive, as reported by the Click2Houston.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez was among the first to communicate details of the crash via social media, as noted by KHOU 11. Sheriff Gonzalez also provided information on the vehicular diversions put in place due current state of FM 1960, with eastbound drivers being redirected to Pinehurst Trail Drive, and those headed west to Atascocita Shores Drive.
