Tragedy struck York County early Tuesday morning when a three-vehicle collision resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported to WSOCTV that troopers were called to the scene of the crash around 6:30 a.m. on S Dobys Bridge Road near Kearney Lane, where they discovered the aftermath involving a Chevy pickup, a Volkswagen coupe, and a Honda.
Investigations revealed that the Honda, carrying two people, veered to suddenly cross the center lane before it struck the side of the pickup and ultimately collided head-on with the Volkswagen, as per reports from QC News. Both passengers of the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene. Remarkably, the drivers of the other two vehicles walked away without injuries.
The incident has raised questions about the circumstances leading up to the fatal moment. WBTV confirmed, citing local authorities, that no other deaths or injuries were reported following the crash.
