The Harris County Sheriff's Office disclosed that the driver was shot in the head, and the passenger suffered injuries to his lower leg and foot.
Investigators believe the victims had planned to meet with two individuals, but the encounter rapidly escalated into an attempted robbery. Violence erupted during the subsequent escape attempt. The driver was shot while trying to flee, resulting in the vehicle losing control and crashing into a nearby home. Both victims were taken to a hospital, though their medical conditions have not yet been disclosed.
The home struck by the vehicle was occupied at the time, with two parents and their young children, one aged 3 years and the other 3 months, inside. No injuries were reported, as per ABC13.
