
Early this morning, a man and a woman were shot outside a bar in the Slavic Village neighborhood, stirring unease in the heart of Cleveland. According to Cleveland19, a 47-year-old man was gravely injured, while a 29-year-old woman sustained minor wounds. The incident, which unfolded near the corner of E. 65th Street and Heisley Avenue, around 1:25 a.m., provoked a prompt response from local police and EMS.
The venue at the center of this violent episode, People's Bar and Grill, became a crime scene scattered with multiple shell casings. According to a FOX8 report, witnesses claimed to have heard several gunshots, noting that the bar was very busy at the time. Despite the scramble to safety, two victims were found inside and quickly transported by EMS to neighboring medical facilities, desperate to save, mediate the harm that befell them that night.
Cleveland EMS later affirmed that the male victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in serious condition, while the female victim was transported to University Hospitals for her injuries. As of now, authorities have not released further details, including the circumstances leading up to the shooting or whether any suspects have been taken into custody, as noted in a coverage by WKYC.
