The woman, whose attorney has asked to keep her name confidential at this time, alleged she suffered serious injuries during a ride on the coaster before the park's official opening.
Her complaint, seeking damages in excess of $50,000, cited that her head was shaken violently and slammed into the headrest, leading to disability and an exacerbation of a preexisting condition. Notably, this incident is not isolated; it follows the death of a man earlier this month who was found unresponsive after riding Stardust Racers.
According to a WESH report, the lawsuit had called for a jury trial to decide the compensation for the plaintiff's injuries. However, a notice of settlement was filed on September 26, indicating that the parties had reached an agreement to quickly end the legal dispute.
