Drivers in Boulder, take note: significant changes are coming to CO 7 (Arapahoe Avenue) next week. Traffic will be shifted onto a one-lane pattern in each direction along the eastbound lanes between Foothills Parkway and Range Street. This reconfiguration is necessary to give construction crews the space to safely work on the westbound lanes, as reported by CDOT.

The traffic changes are slated to stay in place through September 22. While this might temporarily inconvenience some drivers, local business access will stay open. Pedestrians are being cautioned to use the clearly posted detour routes to carefully navigate the construction zones. CDOT advises all travelers in the area to remain alert and to follow all signage directions to ensure safety.

Adding to the reconfiguration, there's a planned closure at the north intersection of CO 7 and 48th Street. Starting from 5 p.m. on Friday, September 19, until 5 a.m. on Monday, September 22, this intersection shutdown is for milling and paving operations, which are crucial steps in enhancing the roadway's condition. A detour will be activated to guarantee connection to 48th Street during this interval.
