Upper Arlington High School is preparing for an inspiring evening as they welcomes John O'Leary, a burn survivor whose life story has ignited a forthcoming film titled "Soul on Fire." The event, part of the Fostering a Conversation series, is set to take place on Tuesday, September 17, and will feature O’Leary sharing his journey of courage, joy, and purpose with the community.
Best known for not just surviving a devastating fire as a child but also for turning his experience into a source of inspiration for others, O’Leary is a bestselling author and a speaker in high demand. The Fostering a Conversation series, a student-led effort, aims to engage not only their fellow classmates during school but also the larger community in the evening. According to the City of Upper Arlington's official announcement, "His visit promises an unforgettable evening of inspiration and connection for the entire community."
This is not just another school event, it's a collaborative effort that involves multiple local entities. Upper Arlington City Schools, the Upper Arlington Education Foundation & Alumni Association, the City of Upper Arlington itself, the Upper Arlington Public Library, and the Upper Arlington Community Foundation have all come together to make this event possible, underscoring the importance of collective support in fostering educational and life-enriching experiences for the youth and residents at large.
