Community concern is escalating as the Philadelphia Police Department sternly asks for the public's help in the search for Sadeem Simmons, a missing juvenile whose absence is resonating through the 39th District. Sadeem, just 14 years of age, was last seen on the morning of August 29, leaving his North Philadelphia home and his current whereabouts remain a troubling mystery.
Described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 120 pounds, Sadeem carries himself with a medium build. His brown eyes beneath black hair last looked out from under a black hooded Under Armour sweatshirt, and lost in the vastness of the city, he wore tan khaki pants and multi-colored New Balance sneakers. With each passing day, the hope that someone might recognize him from his last known appearance clings tightly to the hearts of those who await his safe return.
The area of North Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue, as mentioned on the Philadelphia Police Department's news bulletin, is the last place he may have been and serves as a focal point for the search. The police have not disclosed more details surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance, reinforcing the urgency for tips that could lead to Sadeem's discovery.
The Philadelphia Police Department invites anyone with even a sliver of information to step forward. It was stated firmly, punctuated by the gravity of a situation like this, that "Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353 or call 911."
